Initially, the participants of intervention and control groups were requested to drink Stachys Lavandulifolia and placebo respectively at a dose of 10 gram, 3 times a day at the interval of 2 days before and 3 days after the menstruation period continuing for 3 months. The results were registered before the intervention and 1& 3 months after the intervention. The pain measurement instrument in this research was Visual Analog Scale. Independent t-test and X2 were utilized in order to analyze the collected data.

Results: The findings showed a meaningful difference regarding pain severity in intervention group after 1 & 3 months of Stachys Lavandulifolia consumption comparing with control group (p=0/001) as the pain reduced after Stachys lavandulifolia consumption.

Conclusion: The results of the present study revealed that Stachys Lavandulifolia is effective in reducing menstruation pain and can be a fine alternative to chemical medicines and their side-effects.
